Thirsty basketball fans cheering on the Cleveland Cavaliers will have to wait at a concession stand the next time they want a sip of water. Citing concerns over swine flu, the team said Monday that all drinking water fountains have been removed from Quicken Loans Arena to reduce the spread of bacteria and communicable diseases.

LeBron James set a Cavaliers record with 35 points in the first half, including 24 straight, during Cleveland's game against New York on Saturday night. James, who historically has saved some of his best performances for the Knicks, scored Cleveland's final 16 points of the first quarter and eight straight to start the second.

Cavs' West closer to return (AP)

Injured Cavaliers guard Delonte West played in a scrimmage, moving him a step closer to returning to Cleveland's lineup. West has missed seven games with a broken left ring finger, which was recently fitted with a protective brace. On Friday, he handled the ball without any trouble and shot normally during the workout with Cleveland's reserves and assistant coaches.

Cavs sign guard Cedric Jackson to 10-day contract (AP)

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed point guard Cedric Jackson to a second 10-day contract. Jackson, a former Cleveland State standout, signed his first 10-day deal with the Cavs on Jan. 23 after the club lost guards Mo Williams and Delonte West in consecutive games with injuries.
